In the December 2006 Realtor Magazine national averages were given for the cost of some of the major additions and remodels that are done on homes and the cost recouped.
A minor kitchen remodel will
return 85% of its estimated cost and a major remodel will return 80% of its cost.
A new bathroom addition will
return 77.9%.
A bathroom
remodeling will
return 84.9%.
Adding a family room will
return 71.5%.
Adding a sunroom will return 66.3%
The addition of a master
suite will return 72.6%.
The addition
of a deck will
return 76.8%.
A new home office will
return 63.4%.
Replacing a roof will return 73.9%
Replacing a windows with new vinyl ones will return 83.7%
